Emily Brown is a Canadian-Australian actress with a passion for collaborative, bold, experimental processes. Her work spans genres and modalities, and often explores mental health and femininity.

Alongside her work in independent narrative film, Emily has performed in physical theatre and Clown throughout North America. She has debuted numerous characters in original pieces, such as Brooklyn in ‘Today Is Your Day’, Charlene in ‘A Complete Set’ (InspiraTO festival), and the experimental forum cast debut of ‘Xwiteleme’, funded in part by University of Birmingham, commissioned by the Government of Canada. She has appeared in site-specific theatre, most notably as part of Hudson Valley Movement Company’s movement art installations in Industry City, Brooklyn.

Emily is a graduate of the Terry Knickerbocker Studio 2-year Meisner Conservatory in Brooklyn, New York. She has also trained at The Lucid Body Institute (NYC), York University (Canada), Pro Actor’s Lab, and Second City Toronto.

She is presently based in London, UK.
